When I say search engine, I don’t just mean Google or Bing.  In healthcare, one of the most important factors for policy and procedure management is being able to find a document in an efficient and logical manner.  Yet for those of you still using binders filled with paper documents, this may not always be so easy to do.  Documents may be outdated or misplaced, problems which take up your valuable time in order to find the right information.

In digital policy and procedure management, a well-designed search engine will:

  • Automatically track the life span of a document to ensure the most current version is brought up in search results
  • Categorize your policies and procedures by department for clear labeling
  • Allow you to create keywords to add to policies for more intuitive results

Our healthcare policy manager, for example, provides several different search criteria to help you narrow down a specific document in less time.  These searches may be saved for future use, giving you more time where it matters most.  For faster searches, our intuitive system also allows you to search by keyword or phrase.
